Happy Thanksgiving!

I've seen everyones post on a daily basis of everything their thankful for...so I thought I would just say ditto to everything else everyone else said and add 3 more things to my list.

My first addition to everyone elses list- My husband, James.I truly think of myself as the luckiest girl on the earth. James is the most amazing husband that any girl could ask for. He always is putting my (and the girls) needs in front of his own. He is so patient, understanding, and thoughtful. He is such a hard worker also. He goes to work early, and stays late to provide a living for the girls and I, so I can be a stay at home mom. On top of work, he is a faithful priesthood holder who fulfills his calling the fullest. I am so lucky that I met James 8 years ago...and that he is still putting up with me!

Next- I am thankful for Addison and Brianne.

It is funny how you think your life is complete and perfect after you get married, and then Heavenly Father blesses you with two little girls. I am so grateful for these little rays of sunshine. Addison is the best big sister in the world and has the best personality. She constantly has James and I laughing, and adores being around Brianne. She has turned into such a big helper also, and she is very thoughtful.

Brianne is the best baby we could have ever asked for. She's happy and content all the time. She sleeps through the night, and she rolls over:) ha ha. Ok, there's not much that she does just yet. She is such a sweet little girl and she melts my heart every time she smiles at me.

The third addition- I'm grateful for my little family...

I am so grateful for my family, and the love that we all have for each other. I'm grateful that we will be together for all eternity.

Happy Thanksgiving!

October Festivities!

October has just flown by...and it has been a super busy month! We have had a fun time celebrating Halloween...carving pumpkins, trunk-or-treat at church, and trick-or-treating! This is the first year that Addy has really understood the whole concept of trick-or-treating and boy, did she LOVE it! The thought of going up to someone and them giving you a handful of candy just made her the happiest little girl ever! This is totally picture overload...but I couldn't narrow it down. Enjoy!

Addy was a big helper with the pumpkin this year...atleast the first 5 minutes James was working on it.
She thought it would be a good idea to taste the insides.

Poor James had to finish the pumpkin by himself- his little helper gets easily distracted:)

This was just a random day. Addison has decided that she hates cameras and pictures. When you pull the camera out, she goes running and screaming and will cover her face so you can not get a good picture. Here's a candid shot of her- she is getting to be such a big girl!

I cannot believe how big Brianne is getting. She is three months old now and is full of surprises. It is so fun watching her do and see new things. She now rolls over, makes fun spit bubbles, and coos like crazy. It is funny that she seems to talk more when Addy is asleep. I think it's because Addy talks so much she already can't get a word in. ha ha.

Addy is FINALLY at the stage where she will go into her room and play by herself. Consequently, she likes to take everything off the shelves...example- all the books on the floor.

Brianne at the trunk-or-treat at church. She was our little butterfly.

She was more interested in the kids playing then taking pictures.

This picture just cracks me up! This is when we were out trick-or-treating. Needless to say...she wasn't very happy about it! ha ha

Addy trick-or-treating.

The only picture I could get of our little lady bug in her costume.

Addy at the trunk-or-treat. She visited Gaga and Husie (as she likes to call Justin.) several times...she realized she got lots of candy at their car. ha ha

To say Addy loves her Gaga is the understatement of the year. Obsessed is more like it. She cries when we don't get to see Gaga, she cries when we have to leave Gaga...and she won't leave her side when we are around her. Good thing her Gaga loves her. Addy got first dibs on Gaga's candy.

October was such a fun month with our two little bugs. James and I are learning to handle life with a two year old...which most days seems to be a challenge. Addison keeps us on our toys...but she also keeps us laughing. Being parents of two is easier then I thought it would. We feel blessed to be able to experience all the fun things that Addy and Bri are doing and learning. Being a parent is amazing. Being the holidays...we look forward to even more fun festivities.

Briannes Baby Blessing

What a special day we had today. James was able to give Brianne a name and a blessing at church. We feel so blessed to been able to have so many family there, and we missed all the family that were not able to come. Here are some pictures from today.

All the family who were at the blessing.

Addy decided to cry through all the pictures, just like she did at her blessing. This is the only family picture we could get:(

Overall it was a wonderful, fun, and exhausting day. I'm so grateful for such a supportive family who were able to attend today, and truly missed all the family from out of town that could not be here. I am so grateful for James, and the father and husband that he is. Also, for the worthy priesthood holder he is. Life is good.

Failure to Thrive...

Three words that any mother dreads to hear from their pediatrician...
and now I am 2 for 2 with babies that have been labeled "failure to thrive." I thought Bri was the best little nurser who came to this world already knowing how to nurse. She was a big healthy baby and the doctor told me at her first check-up that I didn't need to worry about bringing her back in until 8 weeks unless I wanted too. About 4 weeks I decided to take her in because I was concerned about her weight, only to find that she had lost almost a full pound since she was born. I had to put her on only formula for 4 days. Luckily she quickly gained weight. Since I did not nurse her for 4 days, my milk supply diminished (it obviously wasn't where it needed to be to begin with since she was under weight). I met with a lactation consultant and tried to nurse for another 3 weeks but have realized that it is a losing battle. James and I decided to bottle feed Bri last Friday. I must say- I was relieved about the decision, but it was hard to not nurse her anymore. I realize life goes on, and it will always be something.

Since we started feeding Bri (lol) she has been the happiest, best little girl ever. She sleeps great, she's alert, and happy. We really needed a good baby after Addy...ha ha ha. Brianne has gone from 6.13 to 9.3 pounds in 3 weeks! She eats like a champ! I have enjoyed being able to let James feed her on many occasions now!

Brianne Wells Fischer

We welcomed Brianne into the world on Sunday, July 31, 2011! She was 10 days early...I guess she was trying to be fashionably early like her sister. The delivery went well- I was able to have a v-back instead of a c-section which I am still very grateful for. The recovery has been a breeze compared to my recovery from Addison. Brianne was 7 pounds 12 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. James and I feel so blessed to have Brianne here- healthy and strong. Here are some pictures...

Bri has been a much more calm and relaxed baby (knock on wood) then Addison. It has been a nice change. The first 48 hours we could hardly get her to wake up and eat. We only heard her cry a few times. Unfortunately, that has changed:), but it was a nice 48 hours while it lasted. ha ha.
I don't think James has put this little girl down since she has gotten here. Every time he's home he is holding her. Which is very nice for me:). It's amazing how much more comfortable you feel with a second baby.

I think James and I were both worried about how our spoiled little Addy would take to little Bri. She did so much better then we expected. She loves holding her, kissing, hugging her, and putting her pacifier in when she's crying. She is a great big sister and a even bigger help to her mom.

We asked the nursery to wait to give her a bath until we could watch. We didn't get many good pictures during the bath of her bright red because she was screaming so bad- but as soon as the nurse dried her off and held her up for a picture she passed out! It was actually quite funny.

Addy loves Bri. I cannot wait for Bri to get a little bit older and see them interacting more together.

Things are going much better then I expected being a mom of two. I find myself counting down the days to the weekend when James is off, but what mom doesn't do that:) I feel like our little family is complete (for now), and we are just so excited that our Bri is finally here- safe and sound.

Now on to the next adventure in life...potty training!:) (Addy that is:))

Happy 2nd Birthday Addy!

Well, we can't believe it but our little Addy is a big 2 year old. We celebrated her birthday a week early because we weren't sure when her little sister would be arriving- needless to say, we are still waiting:) We had a fun birthday party with lots of family. We went to the sprinkler park, and dinner and cake and ice-cream. Here are a few pictures:

Each time we go to the sprinkler park Addy gets more and more daring. This time she actually walked through the sprinklers- instead of just going up and touching them.

My friend Katie made her cake and it was perfect! We did a ladybug theme.

Addy liked just digging her fork into the cake.
Addy got lots of fun new toys. The hit that she wakes up asking for is her "car." Her cousins were pretty excited about it also. Thanks Gaga and Paa-Paaaaaw:)

She got a Mrs. Potato Head and her face was just too cute not to put up.

By the end of the party, Addy was worn out. So the next day James and I gave her our present.

Addy was really excited with her new kitchen. Great Grandma McBride gave her a set of play food and cooking utensils. She was so excited to bust into them and play with all her play food.

It is so hard to believe that our little girl is 2 years old and about to be a big sister. Addison is such a blessing in James and my life. It is so fun seeing her learn new things, and get excited about all the fun things in life. We are looking forward to the next year, and all the new things it will bring.

DA DA!

Addison has always loved her Dada since she was born...but lately her love has gone to a whole new level. All day long all I hear is, "Where Dada," "I call Dada," "Dada..." and the list goes on. It's amazing how 3 little phrases can be repeated a million times in one day! They are normally followed by a "whhhhyyyy" :)

Addy knows that once daddy comes home it is all fun and games! From chasing each other around the house, tickling, laughing, playing, wrestling, cuddling...etc. Her little face just lights up every time her daddy walks in the house. I personally, LOVE IT! It took us a long time (it seems like) to get to this part of her life when she did not have to be with mommy all the time!
Addison is a lucky little girl to have such an amazing daddy! I love watching them interact- and seeing the bond that the two of them have together! Life is good!
