8 Weeks left and counting!

We have been really busy since our last post.  James went out of town to visit friends about two weeks ago, and I got really bored- so I decided I would paint the baby room (which I have said the entire pregnancy that I would NOT do.)  I even got the energy to go ahead and put the bedding on the bed as well.  The walls are green now (they match the green in the bedding) and we are going to accessorize the room in hot pink (which also matches the bedding).  The room is a work in progress, but this is what it looks like at the moment.

Here is a close up of the bedding, actually on the crib.  It turned out super cute, and it looks great with the room.

James and I have finally decided on a name for our little girl.  Her name will be Addison Laverne Fischer.  Laverne was James' grandmothers middle name, and we decided to keep it in the family and make it Addison's middle name as well.  Since we officially have a name, that means I can OFFICIALLY get things monogrammed:)  Here was my first monogramming purchase.  PACIFIER HOLDERS!  I had to explain to James the importance of having pacifier holders, and then the importance of them matching outfits, and having her name monogrammed on them.  He is going to be a PRO at this baby stuff by the time Addison gets here.

I had a doctors appointment today, and our little girl seems to be doing really well.  She definitely is not having a problem gaining weight:)  Her heartbeat was 133 and she now weighs 5.6 pounds!  We also had an ultrasound today, and the tech said "I'm loving all the hair."  So, mommy-to-be's next project...learning how to make super cute hair bows!:)  Check back soon for pictures of that adventure!

  1. So cute, Ash. What if she's a thumb sucker and not into paci's? Hehehe

  3. Ashley bows are totally easy to make. Why dont you tell me what colors you want and what designs and I'll make them for you for my "present" to her. I'll put some larger bows in there for when she gets older as well. Let me know what you think of the offer. Love ya and your nursery is soooo cute!
